Barnes has a rich history in amateur coaching, beginning in 2012 to proceed to coach professionals 8 years later. Pound For Pound Boxing Club was created in 2014, producing university champions in its early stages and other established amateurs continued its success throughout the years. Barnes found his love and excitement for Boxing events, restricted at times by dates of venues and availability of officials Barnes changed his business model and seeked a property to do both. For two years barnes founded his showground, then progressed to a more suitable unit at pound for pound palace. now successfully running events on a monthly basis and running a day to day facility that produces national boxing champions. pound for pound palace strives to be the hub of hampshire boxing.

Barnes believes that a combination of keen attention to detail and maintaining consistency, must be mastered in order to be successful in life or when competing in Boxing. Due to our many years on the amateur circuit, Barnes is now a regular organiser of boxing in Southampton. His interests and organic growth have naturally evolved into professional Boxing, as a result Pound For Pound now promises boxers the opportunity of turning over to the professional boxing pathway.

Barnes Boxing knows that it must fully utilise its Venue and media to televise what we do in order to reach full potential. Ultimately, why keep increasing the size of the venue to accommodate shows and the quality of the media straight to the public in their living rooms!
